Tory Burch Remake Project

Molten Rebirth:
A Tory Burch Reconstructed
As part of a collaborative project between Tory Burch and Parsons School of Design, each junior student was given an original Tory Burch garment to reinterpret. Drawing inspiration from the elemental power of fire and lava, my concept explored themes of transformation, destruction, and rebirth through texture, form, and color.
The visual language is rooted in molten landscapes, volcanic eruptions, and biological abstraction, translating natural force into fashion expression. This collection fuses organic silhouettes with experimental surface treatments to evoke the raw, untamed beauty of nature in flux.

The process began with a full deconstruction of the original garment to assess its structure and prepare the fabric for transformation. I treated the base material with custom spray paint to alter its tone, then layered lace on top to add texture and contrast—establishing a new visual language for the piece.
After completing the fabric treatment, I drafted a new pattern and recut the garment. It was reassembled using precise sewing techniques, with hand-stitched embellishments added as a final touch. This project emphasized technical refinement in patternmaking, textile manipulation, and construction.
